The dates have changed but the goal is always the same: being the stage of the best Italian and international brands in the furniture industry. The sixtieth edition of the Salone del Mobile will be held in 2021 from the 5th to the 10th of September.
First of all: the acclaimed Salone del Mobile comes back in 2021. Finally, the most famous meeting point dedicated to Design and Creativity for the industry insiders is back. Subsequent to the cancellation of the 2020 edition due to the health emergency, the announcement of the sixtieth edition planned this year is being experienced as a real and positive kick-start for the furniture industry on an international level.
History and numbers
Since the first edition held in 1961, one of the most internationally anticipated trade fair has evolved in a spectacular manner. Held for the first time in the full economic boom, the Salone was born to promote the Italian excellences in the furniture industry. Today, the event registers on average 370.000 attendees coming from 188 countries.
Evolution
Over the years, the event evolved and gave life to collateral appointments such as the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, SaloneSatellite, Eurocucina, International Bathroom Exhibition, Euroluce and the more and more interesting Fuorisalone.
Evolution, growth and development have not eradicated the deep roots of the event which were, are and will be in the valorization of high-quality products; functional, innovative and creative.
Opportunities
This important event proves itself year after year a not to be missed opportunity for many exhibitors for combining business and knowledge. More than anything else, the exhibition is able to bring together craftsmanship, tradition and mastery with design, functionality and aesthetic sense.
Just like the previous edition, this year as well the Salone will host exhibitioner from Italy and from all over the world occupying up to 210.000 square meters inside the exhibition area Fiera Milano in Rho.
Despite the difficult year we are living in, the Salone del Mobile proves itself once again a must in the furniture industry!
